A Unique Chance to take Reiki Classes in Kyoto
Learning Reiki in a retreat setting enables you to fully immerse yourself in this healing energy. The retreat will take place in Kyoto, the traditional heart of Japan, home of Reiki and host to the famous golden temple, geisha, and other historic sights, where we can walk in Sensei Usui’s footsteps.
The highlight of our visit will be a day trip to Mount Kurama, the birthplace of Reiki, where Sensei Usui meditated for 21 days and received the Reiki energy. Kurama has many spots of high energy vibration. We will hike up to the top of the sacred mountain and meditate where Sensei Usui meditated.
This will be an unforgettable physical and spiritual journey!
The supportive and focused retreat setting allows you to take 2 levels of Reiki in 1 week. As a beginner you will take Reiki I & Reiki II. If you already have Reiki II then you will take your Reiki Master Practitioner and Reiki Master Teacher levels. The course content will be spread out throughout the week, with about 3 hours teaching each day. The rest of the day will be spent on other related activities and sightseeing.
- We will visit a Buddhist Temple where we will learn Zen meditation from the resident Buddhist Priest.
- We will learn meditative symbol writing in a calligraphy class.
- We will visit a number of shrines, temples and Japanese gardens.
The evenings will be a time to practice what you have learned, and we will share Reiki healings. Other optional outings will be available, such as
